Protecting our natural resources
Environmental stewardship is an OMNI Energy Services core value. Throughout our history, OMNI has implemented environmentally conscientious operating procedures and technology development aimed at minimizing our environmental footprint. Our appreciation for the natural beauty and distinctive character of the U.S. Gulf Coast region--where many of our employees live, work, and play--is part of our motivation for investing in environmental efficiencies. OMNI Seismic made the switch to aluminum pontoon drills and marsh buggies years ago to work in Louisiana’s environmentally sensitive transition zone. Currently, we are developing new mechanical environmental cleaning technologies that will improve safety and conserve natural resources.

• Waste minimization best practices: implemented at our facilities; recycling spent oil and other recyclables
• Waste water reclamation: closed loop system reduces the amount of waste water generated on industrial cleaning operations
• Environmentally friendly non-silica product used as blasting agent rather than less expensive silica-based product
• Biodegradable soaps used at facilities for parts and equipment cleaning
